Dr Djoko is recognized as the leading authority in Indonesia for the Ilizarov Method. He works in Division of Orthopaedic and Trumatology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia at Dr Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta. He has designed his own special breed of small wire fixators for local use and travels widely in Indonesia to deliver lectures on the technique.
