He was trained in the Ilizarov techniques during his clinical fellowship in the world-famous Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada in 1991. He also has attended numerous training courses in Lecco, Italy, Munich, Germany and Baltimore, USA. Dr Sarbjit Singh is one of the founding President(s) of the ASEAN-ASAMI. He has lectured, written and published numerous articles on the Ilizarov technique. He has travelled extensively to promote and teach this techniques in Asia. He has lectured in many courses and workshops in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, India and Dubai. He has won many awards for development of limb lengthening techniques......

He has extensive surgical experience in Ilizarov techniques and Joint Replacement. He is familiar with and uses the external, Lengthening-over-nail and intramedullary technique(Fitbone) for his patients. He also has special interest in Minimally invasive and navigation surgery for Joint Replacement.

Prof. Sarbjit was the first surgeon in Asia to successfully implant Fitbone in 2001 and ISKD in 2006. He has the largest experience on Fitbone surgery outside Germany and was involved in the development of the Fitbone Technique. He has many patients world-wide who seek treatment of his centre for Ilizarov and Firbone surgery. Currently he is the director for Centre of Advanced Orthopaedics: Limb Reconstruction and Lengthening in Mt. Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
